Handle prerequisites without guessing an upgrade tree
Start with the option you need. If its prompt names a prerequisite, record that dependency and its visible cost. Follow only dependencies actually shown. A list of prices sorted from cheapest to most expensive is not an upgrade order, and the next hidden level may cost more or work differently.
